A 7-Days Workshop On Employability Skill Development An Initiative of Godrej Disha
Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, announced that its business unit, Godrej Appliances, has opened its 36th Excellence Centre for vocational training in India. The excellence centre is part of the ongoing ‘Godrej Disha’ initiative – the vocational training program of the group -that aims at improving the lives of India’s underprivileged youth by training them in vocational trades for employment. This is in line with the Government’s National Skill Development Mission. The new centre will conduct training programs for students of Management as well as unprivileged students and youth of the neighbouring society. As per the India Skill Report 2022, India’s employability has just improved marginally to 46.2 percent from 45.97 percent this year. Through Godrej Disha, Godrej Appliances is trying to address the skill gap by providing high-quality vocational training in collaboration with renowned training institutes that will allow our underprivileged youth to be employable.
Synopsis of training program: An Introduction to Godrej, A career in Sales, Benefits of being a salesperson, Business process, Sales & Marketing, Sales Process, E-commerce, Franchisee sales, Personal care & Body language, Proxemics.
The training was conducted by Debshruti Ghosh, HR Trainer
Objective: To enhance the employability skills of the students as per the current job scenario. As per the performance in the training program, the students will be offered an opportunity for job roles as direct sales consultants, tele sales consultants, as per the requirements.
